We had another Baptism yesterday. A lady from here visiting her parents but lives in California. We met her last Sunday. She came to church with her parents. She liked church a lot. She said she wanted to meet with us and have us teach her. We visited with her everyday last week and taught her all of the lessons and we baptized her yesterday. Oh she was so happy. So was I. She has found the true and only eternal happiness. Oh how amazing this gospel is.
Also, Yesterday I gave my first talk in church. I was really worried because I only had an hour to prepare a talk and of course it had to be in Spanish. I was just like "lets do it" I prayed a lot for guidance and help, and I received it. I went up to the pulpit with my talk and yeah I didn’t even look down at it. I really wanted to follow the spirit and I did. I spoke to my little ward for 12 minutes all in Spanish. I felt really good after and I’m so grateful for the Lords helping hand in my life.
Last night we were contacting and visiting different members. We just finished visiting a member and we started to walk home. It was like 8:30 and we were bien lejos (really far) from our house when we felt the first rain drop. After that yeah it was just a downpour of rain. Just absolutely dumping. We were right in the middle of it haha. We were walking down the road just absolutely drenched and people were in the little stores and food places just looking at us like "jovenes locos ustedes no saben es uviendo" (crazy kids dont you know its raining.) We would just smile big and say "buenas noche" haha good times here in Apatzinranch.
We have another baptism this week. The man’s name is Hugo. He is super chido and has been prepared by the Lord. He is so eager to learn. Everything we give him to read he reads it and understands it. He is awesome and is very nice. I’m excited for this Sunday for him. He will have the opportunity to enter into the waters of baptism.
How is dani? I got a letter from her and some pics of her cut on her head. Guess what, her and I are going to have the exact same scar. Remember one I got hit with the chainbinder, when I was working up at the shop? yeah its on the same eyes as hers haha. She said you guys have been really nice and generous to her. What have you been doing and what did you give her for graduation. Family Dani is an amazing girl. I felt I needed to tell you. Yeah she is an amazing runner and is really fast but this girl is super close to her Heavenly Father and to the spirit. She is always telling me about these spiritual experiences she has and she shares with me scriptures from her reading and how she is applying them in her life and how I can too. She wants to build the kingdom it is a natural desire that she has. She always lets her light shine.
Just to let you know, I’m not always thinking about her like some missionaries have problems with. Her and I only talk about the work, the mission, spiritual experiences and she shares with me what’s happening in her life. She is great and a support and so are all of the people who write me and especially you family.
Girls camp oh how fun. Pops remember when we went to girls camp that one time and I was catching pot guts on a string and walking them around. haha that was funny.
Share with them the importance of letting there light shine. There is nothing better than to see a daughter of God with the glow of the spirit in there presence. Be the example. You never know who is watching you so let your light shine and be the example. Let them know that there are a lot of missionaries out in the field. haha but for real. There is an EFY why song called "let your light shine" or "shine your light" its really good.
I love all of you very much even more than all of the rain drops that fell on me yesterday. haha love ya
