Miracles

Hey familia and friends!!!!!

Bishop from Apatzingan,  Elder Miller and Mayco
Miracles exist today!  God is not a changing God.  He will never change.  He is the same yesterday, today and forever.  I saw many miracles this week.  Elder Cuevas and I were really lead and guided by the spirit.  Wow, it was such an amazing week.  I just felt so good!!

First, Mayco one of my converts got his mission call last week. He will be serving a mission in the Mexico, Oaxaca Mission.  What a miracle. He was baptized a little less than a year ago and look at the growth that he has had.  Wow I never even thought that while I was here in my mission one of my converts would leave to go serve the Lord as a full time missionary!!! I feel so grateful and blessed.

2.  Brenda one of my converts here in Uruapan, she is 19, received a calling yesterday in church! I can't even express to you how happy she was!!! She came running down the stairs with a huge smile on her face and ran and told Lulu in Relief Society.  The teacher had to tell them to be quiet.  She is so excited!!! She will be teaching in the primary!! She also talked with the bishop about serving a mission!!! wow!!!

3.  Lulu has made huge improvements this last week.  She loves everything about the church!!!!  She is going to be baptized this week!!!  My joy is so full for Lulu.  I am so excited for her to take this decision in her life. I know that I was supposed to meet Lulu and she was prepared before this life!!

4.  In church we usually have like 70 in attendance and yesterday we had a 143!!!!! wow!!!!  We had an investigator in church named Rosa.  She is 68 and she is so cute.  Rosa is always happy and smiling.  Today was her first time in church. (she is catholic)  After church I asked how she liked church and she told me that she loved it.  In her chuch she told me that she feels lonely but here she feels so good, everyone talks to her and she feels like she is at home.  She told me that she will be in church the next sunday for sure!! I love this little old lady.  I am so happy for her.

Bishop in Uruapon and Elder Miller

This week my bishop was super sick.  He asked me to give him a blessing. I told him I would be honored to. He could barely walk and he looked like death. I layed my hands on his head and gave him a priesthood blessing. I felt the spirit flowing through me and I knew that my bishop was going to be all right.  Four hours later we were at the church for ward council and the bishop showed up with big smile on his face.  He told me thanks and that he felt good.

I love this work.  I love what I'm doing. I know that God lives and that miracles exist!!

I love all of you!!!

a great week

Hey so I have a couple of things that I just loved this week

Elder Cuevas and Elder Miller

Camilo and Elder Miller
One yesterday in church was amazing!!!! We had a lot of investigators and the spirit was so strong. We also got Lulu to come to church! Lulu is amazing!!! She is like 23 and has a little boy named Camilo who is just so dang cute. Lulu is in a wheelchair. Her legs were amputated when she was younger. She has lived a very very hard life and has had many many trials. She was neglected as a child and her mom didn’t take care of her and she came down with a disease but her mom didn’t know because she didn’t take care of her. Through all of her struggles and hard times she has found the light!!! She loves the gospel and the Book of Mormon. She has prayed and received her answer and knows that these things are true!!! She is going to be baptized in two weeks. She had a huge fear of going to church cause there are a lot of stairs and she is scared of them. We talked with her and built her confidence and she said she would go. It took us three weeks to build up her confidence. We went to church and we carried her up the stairs and we enjoyed a very spiritual 3 hours of church. After church we were at her house and she said a pray and she thanked God that she was able to overcome the fear of the stairs. Wow I was so touched by this. She is really putting her trust in God. She is awesome.

Also in church a little boy of about 6 years got up and gave a talk and it touched me deeply. He got up and said I’m going to talk about families. He read a little something and then bore his testimony and it was a amazing.  He said "I love my family, I want my mom, I want my dad and I want my brothers, to be baptized so that we can be an eternal family!! It was short but powerful. That is really why I am here so that others can come to know of the straight and narrow path that leads to eternal life and how we can become eternal families!!! Wow how great and marvelous is this work!!!!

It was week filled with many other spiritual experiences but I don’t have time, I have to go work!! Give me 6 months and we can chat!!! Ha ha I love my life

hey

wow wow familia!!!!!

RAIN, RAIN, AND MORE RAIN.

This week was so crazy!!! and I mean crazy!!! It rained a ton and on Thursday.  A storm came in and hit super hard and way fast.  l have never seen a storm like this in my life.  It was crazy and I was scrambling for my pancho which is way saweet.  I got it on and we were running to try to get a bus but none came for a long time and we were just getting drenched.  While I was sitting there with my shoes and socks soaked,  I was just thinking to myself I knew I should have worn my boots today ( I bought some rubber irrigation boots that go up to my knee because it rains so much here.  They are saweet.  I will send you a pic) I was thinking when the lightning and thunder was cracking, it was crazy.  I was a bit scared more for my companion because I wanted to keep him safe.  But I knew we had to go visit one of our investigators that is so awesome.  So we made our way out to her house.

Her name is Lucy.  She truly is a golden investigator. She has completed all of her compromisisos (I don’t know how to say that in english) but she reads the Book of Mormon all of the time and has received her testimony of this amazing book. She was going to get baptized this week on Saturday but when we got there she told us she had bad news.  She would be leaving out of town with her husband for a month. To tell you the truth, I was a bummed.  I was so excited for Lucy to be baptized.  She was sad too but I didn't want to have a sad moment, so I told her that we were going to have a little testimony meeting and share our feelings about the gospel. The mood quickly changed and the spirit came and settled in with us quite comfortably. Testimonios were born. I felt so good and I knew that one day Lucy would be a member of the church. I don't always understand the ways of the Lord and His purposes for I am only a instrument in his hands.  I am learning that I just have to trust in Him and follow His council even when I am not exactly sure why something is happening.

This last week I got to watch the movie of President Hinckley. It was very powerful and I felt so good during the movie. I really realized what a love he had for the gospel and for the Lord. He put him first in his life and he was so blessed. I have been looking back on my mission and the journey that i have been on. How amazing it has been!!! My mission truly has been a great blessing in my life.  I have changed but into a man and into the son that my Heavenly Father wants me to be. I am so grateful. I am so much happier in my life and I have a real direction in my life.  I know what I want in my life. I love the Gospel

have a great week!!!!

Uruapon

hey everyone!!!

Today is going to be really short!! I just have so much work right now and there is so much to do!! This week was filled with miracles and many spiritual experiences.  It was a week of a lot of growing and learning. I just want all of you to know that I am just dandy.  I love my life and  I love my Savior and I love serving him and doing his work. There is nothing like it and it has changed my life!!

One experience really quick.  The  other morning I got up,  I was doin my regular stuff.  When I got out of the shower, I walked out to see my comp on his bed.  He looked like he was going to die.  He said,  Elder Miller, call Hermana Jesperson please. I said, for sure.  I went to go get the phone off my desk.  I went to grab the phone when I saw my consecrated oil next to the phone.

I knew that the first thing i had to do was give my companion a blessing. I went and talked with him and he said he would love a blessing. He couldn't even stand to get into the chair. (he had pains that were super strong in his stomach) He could not move and was in so much pain. I layed my hands on his head and gave him a blessing by the Holy Priesthood. I don't know what I said in this blessing, the words were just flowing out of my mouth. I ended in the name of JESUS CHRIST and my comp went running for the bathroom instantly. When he came out he told me that he felt nothing and he didn't have a single pain in his body.

I'm so grateful for the priesthood and I know its real.

I love all of you

Hey Hey!!!!
Elder Cuevas and I found a little mountain town on our map that we think nobody has ever been too.  We had to go up a little mountain to get there.  It was FUN.  We talked to a lot of people there and they were all really nice but didn't want to listen to our message.  It is a really beautiful place.
