Livin life

Hey Family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and everyone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Elder Wallace, Elder Parry and Elder Miller.
Elder Wallace and I had an amazing week this week!!!! It really was truly amazing. First we had a training for two whole days, it was all of the missionaries in Guadalajara. It was so saweet!!!!! I learned so many things in this training that I can use to be a better and more efficient warrior of the Lord! I liked roll plays and practicing our teaching skills. I usually don't like roll plays, but this time I just absolutely loved them. I just got to practice teaching and it was just awesome the spirit was in each one. I also learned a lot this week about sorting out problems or difficulties between missionary companionships. I am so grateful because I was really able to apply the things I learned this week. There were some big problems with a companionship in my district. One companionship really just wanted changes and called pres. and it was a big mess. I had an experience that I will never forget. I knew I had to go talk to these missionaries. I had no idea what I was going to say but I put my trust in the Lord and just went and did it. I was able to talk to each one for a really long time. The time we had together was really special both missionaries opened up to me and told me what was going on. After, I was able to talk to them and tell them that they needed to talk to one another openly and work things out. I said a lot of things and half of them I didn't know why I was saying, but I was really praying that the Lord would help me say the things I needed to. I was greatly blessed and so were these missionaries. About two days later one the missionary called pres. and said he wanted to stay and everything was just great. They are both amazing missionaries and I love them dearly.

I just want everyone to know that the power of the spirit is real. He will give us the words we need to say in the very moment if we are worthy. We have this gift of the Holy Ghost and we need to do everything we can to have him with us because he will help us in every aspect of our lives. How many people can say that they have a God as their personal companion? Keep yourselves worthy.

From this experience and others, I have learned the importance of communication. If you are married, have a boyfriend or girlfriend, a companion in work or school etc YOU HAVE TO COMMUNICATE. It is a must.  A lot of the problems that I see here with the people or missionaries are caused because there is no communication between the companionship!! This can't happen! If you have a worry or if something is bothering you about someone, tell that person. Why, because they may not know what they are doing that is bothering you. If they don't know they can't change. If you tell them your feelings, it's a lot easier to work things out and to make changes. Communication is SUPER importante!! Follow the spirit and do it with love!!

The family Orozco are improving greatly! We are with them everyday because they really need our help and the Lord's help. I love them. They should get married this week.  We are working so hard to get them married and after they will be baptized!! They are stoked!!!!!

We also found, Crisa (new investigator) she came up to us and contacted us this week. She wanted to listen to us. She is 24 and has the cutest boy named Alex who is like 2. She is a golden investigator and is just so awesome. She came to church by herself on Sunday and loved all of church. She is preparing to be baptized the 5th of March!! I am so happy for her!

Pops, your pic is so saweet!!!! Man I wish I could come watch ya!  When I get back I'm going to come watch you ride and then I am going to critique you on every little thing you did. ha ha ha Like you used to do with me when I was playing ball.  Pops you look really happy!!! keep tearing it up!!! I love you!!! you are my partner!!!

Well, tonz more happened but I can't put it all in.

Happy, I love you day!!!!

Hi!!!!!!! How is it going everyone!!!!

Well Elder Wallace and I had another very good week here in the city!!!! It was fun!!! iIt's starting to get hot again but that's alright, I love life! We were able to teach a lot of lessons this week and we were able to talk with a lot of people. So, it was a wonderful week!!

We are teaching a family right now named the family Orozco! They are a cute little family and their kids are dang cute. They have 4 kids the oldest is 8 then 7 then 4 and then 3. They are just full of energy and they are always just going crazy! We have been teaching them for about a week and a half now. They have had so much change in them. They are a really humble family, really humble. They are really just searching for peace, comfort and security and to be closer to God. We started teaching them and they loved everything. We invited them to be baptized and they said yes!  Now they are reading in the Book of Mormon and they have prayed and they know it is true.   They know the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints is true.   They are already seeing the blessings in their lives. We found out that they are not married.  This week we are going to do everything we can to get them married so they can be living the commandments and receive more blessings in their lives. We also gave them the Family Proclamation to the world and they loved it! Mom, this family is awesome and I love them.  Last Saturday night we went and visited them, before this visit we found out that Guillermo lost his job and was out of work! So Saturday night we were teaching them of the Gospel, when I started noticing that these little kids were just really hungry and they wanted to eat. Then a little later, Irma just broke down in tears and expressed to us their situation. She was so worried because her husband can't find work and she is so worried because she had no way to feed her kids. This was just overbearing on her and it was causing her to have a lot of stress. Mom, it just broke my heart to see these little cute kids hungry, all they had to eat was a lime. We left the house and I didn't know what to do. I told my compa lets go to the store. We went to the little store and we bought a ton of bread and hot dogs and a big ole soda. We ran back to their house and put it on their porch.  Then we knocked and ran. Yes, we doorbell ditched!!!! haha wow afterwards my compa and I felt so, so good. I loved it. They are a great family and they are awesome and I love them!!!

I talked in church yesterday for a little over 15 minutes about listening and trusting in the leaders of the church! It went really good and then after sacrament, I taught the Gospel Principles and i had nothing planned!  But it went well. I love teaching and I love helping out where I can!

Tell the ward thanks too!! They sent me a letter all of the ward did. Tell them I love them. I love receiving letters it's awesome.

I love all of you so much!!!! I miss you a ton but I love my life!!!!

Cool weather in the city!!!

This is a local park we teach lessons at.

HEY EVERYONE!!!!

workin this week was a riot and man o man was the weather perfect!!! It was so great. We had a lot of cloud cover this week and there was a lot of wind and the wind was cool. Oh it was amazing and on top of that we were doing the Lord's work!!! What more could a person want!!

This week was really fun and joy filled all of our days except when we both got sick. I got the rocky mountain quick step and my comp well, let's just say he ate some shrimp and didn't like them too much so they came back up. It was still fun because we didn't let that keep us from doing work.  We got it all out of our systems and then we hit the streets again with a great big smiles on our faces.

We had some really amazing lessons this week. We found a family of 6 that are so awesome!!! We taught them and now they are working towards getting baptized!!!! They are an amazing little humble family. They just want to be united and have peace and love in their home. They are now taking the steps to have more of this joy, love and unity in their home. They are starting to live the Gospel of Christ. Wow, it brings me such joy to see people change there lives. It is truly amazing. The dad in this family (Guillermo) he is so awesome. He had the faith not to go to work on Sunday so that he could take his family to church. Wow, it was a sacrifice but he and his family were richly blessed!!! I love this family.

Elder Miller, Jose, Delia, Jesus, Elder Wallace
and Lucero and Julian.
We had a saweet lesson with Jesus, Delia and family (my favorite family).  We talked about being missionaries!!!!  They loved it!! They are so stoked right now to go share what they know with their friends and family and people that they don't even know.  Delia isn't even a member yet but her testimony is solid as a rock!! They know these things are true and they are not scared to tell others about it!!! They are on fire and this is how we all need to be. We always need to be praying to our Heavenly Father to put people in our paths that we can share the gospel with because the Lord is always preparing his children and we are all instruments in the hands of Lord. Don't be scared to share what you know!!! You will be filled with a joy that is so sweet when you are sharing this gospel with others.

I love my compa! I have learned a lot from him and he is just so dang awesome!! We are a great team!! He likes to do saweet work, so that is awesome we just work and work but with a big ole smile on our faces! We are going to have changes this week so I hope we get another change together!!
Elders eating torta ahogadas, a food that is famous in
Guadalajara.

Guess what Kel every morning when I wake up before we go running, I wake and say the words that mom always used to say to me "wake up Jake, stretch stretch stretch" (as she was pulling on my leg) it helps me get up in the morning. Yeah that's funny about the baby. Don't you worry, he will have himself a good vocab and yes it will have "DO YA" in it.
