In the city!!!

Hey how is everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you all are just amazing!!!! and you have just been full of joy this last week!!!!!

Wow my son and I had an amazing week this week!!!! The weather was a little cooler this week and we just loved every second of this last week!!! We talked to so many people and taught a lot of lessons!!!!

Elder Albestrain, Elder Wallace, Elder Gerome, Elder Miller our casa.
We have a lot of fun!
So funny story!!! There are two other elders in our house.  One is this tall lanky elder from salt lake and he is really unique but I love him. The other night he just kept on pestering me, oh and he is like 6 ft 6 in. Yeah he towers over me. He was just bugging me and I was like you better stop it or you will regret it!! Well he kept it up and he came up behind me and grabbed me.  So I grabbed his head put him in a head lock and threw him over my shoulder right flat on his back on the tile.  Then I whipped out my WEC moves and had him in a really weird move where he couldn't move.  I had him like all tied up with my legs.  Then I said, I warned you and so now you get the Miller special.  I lobstered him so bad to the point he was almost crying and he was screaming like a little girl. Wow I was laughing so hard. It was super funny!!! But I didn't throw him on the ground hard and we both get along really well.  It's just like a guy thing, and at least he knows now who is the boss haha.

Last night we were contacting people and my comp walked up to this guy with a pit bull. The dog whipped around and bit my comp but didn't get any flesh it only tore his pants. We talked to the guy and it got pretty western because he spoke English and he started bashing on us. I just told him how it was and I bore very firm testimony to him of the truth and there was power with this authority. All he wanted to do was fight but I wasn't gonna let that happen, so I just shared this testimony and then we kept on going.

Family and Friends I want to testify to all of you that the priesthood power is real and it is very powerful. I had two really special experiences this last week. There were two ladies who asked me to give them blessings. One was a member and the other is one of our investigators. I always knew the power of these blessings but as I gave these blessings I felt really different. When I placed my hands on their heads I felt this sensation go through my body and then as I spoke it wasn't me it was the spirit speaking through me and it was so powerful!  When I closed both of these blessings and took my hands off of there heads, I had to go sit down because I couldn't stand.  I don't know how to explain it but it just took my strength.  This is what I do know, the priesthood is real!!!!

I love my mission!!! I am happy and I feel joy!!

Family I miss you. I really do, I can't express the amount of love that I have for you but know that I love you. I am doing everything I can to be the missionary that my Heavenly Father wants me to be.  Mom I'm trying everyday to be that Strippling Warrior.

Know that I am happy and that I am about my Father's work.

les amo!!!!
This is one of my favorite families. Jesus, Delia, Lucero, Julian,
and Jose.  We are working hard to get all their papers,
so that they can be baptized.  They are an amazing family

Hey everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had an awesome week here in the city!!!!! I just love it here and especially with my "hijo". The weather is so awesome right now and we are just out in the streets everyday preaching the gospel!!! I love it! I can say that I am truly happy. I have joy in my life and it is a joy that I have never felt before. It is something real and I know who I am and I know my purpose here in this life and that makes me so happy!!

Elder Miller, Elder Wallace, President Jesperson, Hermana Jesperson.
Mi hijo!!!!!!!!!  Elder Wallace!!! He is so awesome. In my whole mission I have never had a comp that was similar to me and now my son is like just like me!! He loves sports and shoes and camping and all that good stuff but also he has a huge desire to serve the Lord! He is on fire right now he is just so excited and always has a good attitude!!! I am so grateful for him. I am already learning new things from him and it is just amazing. He is from California from the bay area he lives in San Jose. so I got me a Cali boy.

We are still working really hard and we are trying as hard as we can to invite all to come unto Christ! It is a beautiful thing!

Sorry its super short but we played volleyball all day, so we don’t have much time to write. I have to run right now because I gotta go teach district meeting!!

I love you all so, so much. As much as I love my hijo. hahahahah

One crazy night!!!

Hey family wats up!!!! How is everyone!!!!!

We had a crazy night. I was sleeping oh so, so good then at like 1 o’clock in the morning my phone starts ringing. I was like, who in the world is calling me at this hour of night. I answered it. I was half asleep. It was my zone leaders. I said hello and he said "elder how are you?" I said I’m good. He said "congrats on completing with the standard of excellence again."  I was, you woke me up for that. They were like "yeah" I was a little upset but then he was like I’m just kidding elder, your house has changes. What changes, we just started this new change like 2 weeks ago. So yeah, we had special changes. My comp had changes and so did my brother Elder Aguilar. My comp is lucky, he is going to the country and he has to learn the click language. I was like I wanted to learn that language my whole mission, but I’m so stoked for Elder Ripley.  He was an awesome comp and we really had an amazing time together. Elder Aguilar is going to the offices to be a secretary. He is stoked! I love that elder! Right now I don't have a companion! Yeah he is on an airplane right now. He is coming from Utah!!!! That's right fam, I'm going to be a dad, I'm receiving a son. I’m going to be training. Oh man I can't even express how I feel. I'm just way stoked and I'm a little nervous but it's something new and I'm ready for change and the opportunity to grow even more! Wow I'm so stoked!!!!!!!

Elder Ripley and I had another amazing week here in the city.   It was a good week to end our time together. I saw so many miracles and received so many blessings this week. I can't express the love that I have for this work. There is always something to learn or room to grow and I love it. I really am changing. I can see it and feel it and I know I am becoming the man that my Heavenly Father wants me to be!

Right now we just are working really, really hard! We have a bunch of investigators and some are families. I love them so dearly. They bring such joy to me and I just love visiting with them and seeing them change and come closer to Christ! I love this work!!!

Jacee I’m happy for you!!!! I love your face!!!

Oh hey, I got all of my Christmas packages this week and I loved them!! Thank you so much!!!!

Hey one fav can you guys make another calendar for me? But a big one that like each day has a box so that I can put notes and baptismal dates on it. If you could I would love it. Fill it with family pictures yeah all family pics.

If you can send me some pics of you guys. I haven't really seen your faces for awhile.

Yeah 1 year!!!!!!!

Has is really felt like that? I would say no.  It feels like just yesterday when we were carrying jack around the state of Wyoming and when Jacee and I were ghosting people at the Denver Bronco game. hahahah Time is a strange thing but when you are just living and loving life, things just seem to go by a lot faster.

I can tell you that a year ago I was not the man that I am now.  I was just a little boy. My mission is changing my life and it has changed my life in a really huge way. It is pretty amazing. I love my life, my mission and I love the person I am becoming. I know it is who my Father in Heaven wants me to be and become!

We had another amazing week here in the city. We are just working as hard as we can, it's a really good feeling.

One day we had some plans fall through, so we were wondering where to go. We didn't know where to go, so we just started walking and contacting people. We got to a cross road and my compa was like, we need to go up the road. So I was like alright lets do it. We started up the road and my comp said they talked to a guy in some apartments in this area like 6 months ago. So we went and knocked on his door. He was really cool and we put an appointment with him to come back and teach him. We left these little apartments and were standing in the road looking at some other apartments.  We were like, we should knock those doors.  We went over there and the gate was open to get in but we stopped and were thinking. If this gate closes we will be locked in and we won't be able to get out----- should we do it? As we were thinking a guy came out of one of the apartments and said hey follow me. We were like ok. Then he went walking and we followed him and he was like hey my house is right here, come inside. At this point, me and my comp didn't know what to think but we followed him and went into his house. We met his wife, sat down and this man Jorge said "alright give it to us, teach us".  Now we were just like wow! After the prayer I asked him why he invited us in his house and then he said "the truth is I am a less active and I want to come back to church because I can feel a huge difference without the church in my life.  But the real reason I wanted you to come is because my wife isn't baptized and I want you to teach her so that she can be baptized. We just about died. So we taught an amazing lesson and invited Myra to be baptized and she accepted and is preparing right now to be baptized.

Really this was one of the most amazing experiences in my mission. I learned a very important principle and I want to share it with you.

My comp said afterwards "what is it feel like to be lead by the Holy Ghost, it feels like you are blind folded."

Elder Bednar said God doesn't need to slap us around with the Holy Ghost to guide us!

We are just going to receive a lot of nudges. A nudge here and a nudge there but through these nudges we will be lead to the thing that God wants us to find or to do or to receive.

We have to be in tune all the time so that we can receive these little nudges. Remember God isn't going to slap us around with the Holy Ghost. We have to do our part to receive spiritual promptings.

So a boy huh!!! How rad is that!!! I am so stoked!!!!!!!!!!!! yes!!!!!!!!!!!! So Brady you said you wanted some names. Well I have one that is perfect for the little youngster you can call him Chancho!! You can get him a saweet pair of sweaaatzzz and maybe he can get himself a saweet machete!!! hahahah No I don't have any names right now haha Well I have mine but I’m not going tell you because my sisters will take them  haha

Oh funny thing my comp woke up the other night and he said that I was sitting straight up in my bed and I was teaching a lesson in Spanish. He thought I was awake but then realized that I was asleep and I was talking in my sleep. I finished teaching and laid back down. Funny huh. Yes that means I am becoming fluent.

Oh mom a huge favor can you send me perfect pushups. That would be so awesome!!! I need to get my body back haha

I never received any of the Christmas packages but I don't think I need anymore sweaters it is starting to get hot here again.

thanks so much.

I love all of you more than all of the lessons I taught in my sleep this week

Happy New Year!!!!!

Hi everyone!!!!!!!!! How are ya´ll!!!

Another year has past by.  This one went by really, really fast.   I can't even believe how fast it went by.  I'm going to complete one year in the mission next week!!!!!!!!!! The day I complete one year, a general authority is coming to visit us and we get the opportunity to listen to him speak. I can't even tell you how excited I am to listen to him.

We had another crazy, crazy week here in the city. We were working really hard and doing everything we could to invite God's children to come unto Christ. We would come home every night just drained but it was a really good drain. I knew in my heart that we were doing all we could this week to help this people. I loved every second of this week.

One thing that I loved is that yesterday in church we only had one new person in church. We took the sacrament and left for the streets my comp and I and also Elder Aguilar and Elder Albestrain were helping us oh and the assistants too. We searched and talked to everyone. We weren't having to much success but we kept being diligent. We were showing our faith through our actions.   Well church ended but we still hadn't met the goal. We kept looking, we were only missing one to complete the goal for our companionship and the other companionship. Finally when there was one hour left of church we found an ole boy walking down the road and we invited him to come into church.  He said he wanted to. We talked to him about the church shared a lesson with him in the chapel and the spirit was so strong, we invited him to be baptized and he expressed to us very strongly that he would. This was truly the thing he needed in his life.  We were filled with joy!!!! Pure joy!!! This lesson was amazing!!

I wasn't in church at all yesterday but yes know what, 7 of Gods children were able to enter the church yesterday and feel how strong the spirit is within those doors. I can't even express my gratitude right now. I really have so much to be thankful for.  I know I can show my gratitude to my God through diligent, obedient work!!!  That's what we are going to keep on doing.

"We do WORK, we do the Lords work!!!!"

I love you more than all of the food I ate this past week!!!

I have to get rid of this little tortilla gut. hahahahah
